Rafa Nadal Tour Australia

Tour dates: Six events from July 2019 to January 2020, for juniors in the 12/under and 14/under age groups.

The Rafa Nadal Tour is a junior tennis circuit launched in Spain in 2014. It has a strong focus on sport and education combining the tournament aspect with dynamic and fun educational activities for the players aiming to establish strong fundamental values, this involves teaching and working towards the four main pillars of the tour:

SPORTSMANSHIP: The appropriate and correct behaviour during the practice of any sport, as well as the acceptance of adverse situations willingly.

COMMITMENT: The capacity that players’ have to acknowledge, get involved and accomplish something that has been previously agreed to.

FELLOWSHIPThe friendly and collaborative relationship between different people, which is defined by solidarity, sympathy, generosity, respect.

EFFORTThe capacity to work with discipline, to accomplish the obligations and to behave with perseverance to improve oneself.

The four winning players from each 12/u & 14/u singles events, as well as four selected winners of the Trophy of Values will progress to the end of circuit Australian Masters event. The Trophy of Values recognises a player from each event that shows a positive attitude and behaviour on and off the court.

The Rafa Nadal Tour Australian Masters event is scheduled to be held in Melbourne in January (dates and location to be confirmed). A maximum of eight (8) players will be invited to compete in each 12/u & 14/u boys and girls Masters event.

The four (4) winners of the Masters events will win paid flights and accommodation to Spain for them and their two selected coaches, where the players will take part in a two-week training program at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar.  The dates of the two-week experience in Spain will be confirmed with the winners.
