Congratulations to our Clubs of the Month for October, O’Halloran Hill Tennis Club and Cobdogla Tennis Club.
O’Halloran Hill Tennis Club has worked hard in recent years to provide a more welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere for the community.
The introduction of social tennis and coaching programs under the guidance of new coach Cameron Nash, along with social events for members of the community, have all contributed to renewed activity and energy at the club,. In October 2020, the club was proud to receive their STARCLUB accreditation.
Cobdogla Tennis Club is situated in a town of just 250 people, but with 18 ANZ Tennis Hot Shots, 60 Junior and 30 Senior members, the club continues to go from strength to strength.
The club prides itself on its strong links with the local primary school, seeing children confidently transition from school to club tennis, supported by local coach John Pick. The club also has a proud senior history, winning 13 of the last 16 Division One premierships, demonstrating a retention of players throughout the pathway.
