The top seeds have both made their way through to the round of 16 on Day 3 at the City of Playford Tennis International II, with Priscilla Hon (Qld) defeating Zuzana Zlochova (SVK) 6-0 6-2 and Yasutaka Uchiyama (JPN) overcoming Nick Hardt (DOM) 6-3 6-4.

In the men’s, South Australia’s Luke Saville defeated [8] Alejandro Tabilo (CHI), setting up a clash with Akira Santillan (Qld) in the next round. [4] Marc Polmans (Vic), [6] Andrew Harris (Vic) and [9] Max Purcell (NSW) have also made their way through to the third round.

In an epic two hour and 10 minute match, Storm Sanders (WA) came back to take the win over fourth seed Kaylah McPhee (Qld) 6-7(0) 7-5 6-3. Second seed Maddison Inglis (WA) defeated Tereza Mihalikova (SVK) 6-2 6-2 and Lizette Cabrera (Qld) overcame Miharu Imanishi (JPN) 6-4 6-4 to join Sanders in the second round.

Tomorrow will see South Australia’s Alex Bolt open Centre Court against [11] Hiroki Moriya (JPN), with matches starting at 10.00 am.
