The 2019 Tennis SA Club Development Conference is Tennis SA’s largest professional development event for the year.
Tennis SA aim to be strong leaders, boldly acting to showcase, promote, develop and manage the game of tennis in South Australia. This annual conference is a key to enable our associations and clubs are receiving relevant support on developing vibrant environments for new and future players to enjoy.
The conference will bring together creative and passionate tennis people, ready to present and discuss informative experiences. It is an important opportunity for the whole tennis community to share ideas, discuss relevant issues and hear about the latest best practice and research. Attendees will take home a range of inspirations and practical solutions for their association, club or team.

Ian Sandbrook, Sport for good consulting
Unleashing the entrepreneurial spirit – ‘To stand still today is to go backwards’.
This workshop is about inspiring you to see a different future and to understand how to look for opportunities and go for it.
Ian Sandbrook has 13+ years of experience in the sports development industry and has seen many sports clubs who have lost their community connection and are suffering because of it. Ian works with sports organisations and clubs to help them become relevant to their communities, which will in turn, help them grow and thrive.
Sarah Armstrong, Tennis Australia
Sarah is currently the Manager – Club Development in the Places team at Tennis Australia and is responsible for the delivery of numerous programs and initiatives aimed at creating successful and sustainable clubs and venues.
With a background in swimming, Sarah has also worked within the club development space at Swimming Australia where she was responsible for managing the volunteer workforce and the volunteer and coach framework. Most recently, Sarah has successfully launched an online education and resource portal for clubs through the shared platform, Bounce.
