Tennis SA was pleased to be a part of the 20th Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) on Thursday afternoon.

The APhO has brought 200 of the region’s best and brightest students from 22 countries to Adelaide for nine days of academic competitions and cultural activities. Held annually, this is the first time the event has been held in Australia.

Countries send teams of eight competitors aged 13-18 who take part in two 5-hour long exams (one theory and one practical) with gold, silver and bronze medals awarded.

As part of their offsite activities, students took part in a sporting experience at Adelaide Oval, with Tennis SA providing a Tennis in Secondary Schools experience, alongside SANFL and Adelaide Oval tours.

Thank you to the APhO for inviting us to be a part of their event.
