In the boys competition there were some strong performances across the board. Both Coromandel Valley and Trinity Titans kept their good run going with 5 sets to 1 wins over Glenlea and West Lakes. Seacliff were dominant over Hahndorf winning 6 sets to 0 and strengthening their top of the ladder position.

Pembroke came up against Tea Tree Gully, both teams were without their number 1 in the singles, which forced players to move up. Pembroke’s Terry Karahalios had a strong win over Connor Gibson 9-3 in the top singles. Pembroke’s Lachlan Hill had a tight win over Connor Wallin 9-7 to give Pembroke a 2 rubbers to 0 lead. Tea Tree Gully’s Hamish Bartos won in a tie break over Antonio Kristo to give his team a rubber. Pembroke’s Harvey Doney took out the bottom singles 9-6 and gave his team a 3 rubbers to 1 lead heading into the doubles. Going into the doubles both teams played their number ones and it was a close match going to Pembroke 6-3 and sealing the win.

In the Statewide Super girls competition Seacliff came up against an undermanned Seaside winning comfortably 6 rubbers to 0. The inform Jasmine Adams and Cydney Crumbie won their singles well and are one and two in the player of the year count nine rounds into the season.

Pembroke were too strong for Collingrove with Pembroke winning it 5 rubbers to 1 and keeping themselves well in the top 2. Pembroke’s Juliette Robinson and Elim Yan were the stand outs winning their singles 9-1 and 9-2 respectively.

Hahndorf played Peake Gardens in a close encounter. Hahndorf’s Hayley Riessen and Kara Tscharke got their team off to an ideal start winning 9-5 and 9-2 respectively. Peake Gardens Keeral McKenzie won in a close tiebreak over Annika Tobin to put their first rubber on the board for the match. Hahndorf’s Jenna Barry was solid at number 4 winning 9-3 and giving her side a three to one rubbers lead going into the doubles. Two close doubles were played with Peake Gardens taking out the bottom doubles 6-4 but Hahndorf sealed the match with a close 7-6 win in the top doubles.
