50 Year 3 and 4 students from Renmark Primary School, Renmark West Primary School and Cobdogla Primary School took part in an ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Pro Tour Schools Experience at the Renmark Paringa Council Men’s Tennis International earlier today.

Students took to the court for a morning of ANZ Tennis Hot Shots matches, encouraging tennis participation, growing friendships and giving students the opportunity to represent their school in a team environment.

Following their matches, students were thrilled to be visited by number one seed Marc Polmans (Vic), along with Jeremy Beale (Vic). Cobdogla Primary School students then stuck around to support Cobdogla’s very own Luke Saville as he defeated Moerani Bouzige (Qld) 6-4 6-3.

Cobdogla Primary School student, Emily Carter, was thrilled to be a part of the tennis action today.

“It was a great experience and lots of people got to have a hit around. Some of them mightn’t have ever picked up a racquet at all [before today],” said Emily.

Whilst Emily has been following Polmans’ and Saville’s results this week, Emily will now turn her attention to joining them on court as she becomes a ballkid for the tournament this weekend.

“It’s been great and I am hoping to get their autographs after I ballkid this afternoon!”
