Of the $6.1 million in funding announced yesterday under two State Government Recreation and Sport grants programs, $684,097 has been allocated to tennis clubs across the state.

The highly successful State Government grants initiatives pump money directly into community-level projects-giving South Australians access to high-quality, sustainable and fit-for-purpose facilities.

Approximately half of the latest round of Community Recreation and Sports Facilities Program grants are for regional areas – and will include new play surfaces, shelters, trails, nets, lighting, upgrades and change rooms – servicing 16 different sports including tennis, football, basketball, motorcycling and netball.
