Broadview have kept their hopes of a top two finish alive with a super close two game win over Glenlea after rubbers and sets were even. Glenlea number one Damian Farinola was true to his impressive form with a clinical two set win over Corey Decandia. Broadview then hit back with Marty Richards edging out Todd Langman and Kurtis Willson and Lachlan Smith both registering straight sets wins for Broadview. Glenlea won both doubles but it was not enough to catch Broadview whose singles wins paved the way for victory.

The Drive also managed a tight win over Kingswood after rubbers were level at 3 apiece. The Drive’s Lawrence Bataljin was too strong for Kingswood number one Josh Laka taking out the match in straight sets before Kingswood got themselves back into the match with Sam Gericke registering an impressive win over Jonothon Norodom. Singles victories to Kiichi Ishida and Theo Karahalious set The Drive up for victory and the much need four premiership points on offer for the win.

Collingrove also scored a much needed victory when they took on Seaside and came out with a 4-2 rubber win. Asyraf Azhar got Seaside off to a good start with an impressive win over Oliver Douglas at top single. Collingrove’s Matt Teivans was able to get his team back on top with a strong straight sets singles win before he and Douglas paired to seal the match with a straight sets doubles win.

Trinity Gardens registered a ladder position boosting 5-1 rubber win over Tea Tree Gully that keeps them entrenched in the top four. Singles wins to Li Tu, Charlie Nicholas and Andrew Tavella set up the win for Trinity. Tea Tree Gully veteran Steve Sando flew the flag for his team with a tight win over Scott Hughes before Trinity reasserted their dominance to take out both doubles.

In the ladies competition, The Drive had a tight win over Kingswood, taking the match on sets after rubbers were 3 all. Melanie Clayton and AJ Walters both has strong wins at 1 and 2 singles before Kingswood responded with Yasmin and Tiana Glazbrook both registering singles win to level the match at 2 rubbers all. Clayton and Walters teamed up at top double to clinch the victory over a Kingswood side that looks to be a serious chance for a top four finish.

Goodwood gave an understrength Seaside team a 6-0 rubber drubbing to give their finals chances a boost. Goodwood’s Brooke and Nikki Milner, Evana Bowell and Marit Gillam all registered singles wins that will provide much needed confidence ahead of a tough run of matches over the coming rounds.

Glenlea ladies were too strong for Golden Grove with a 5-1 rubber win cementing their spot in the top four. Glenlea number one Tayla Whitehouse had an impressive win over Madison Bishop at top single and was well supported by Sophia Fry who registered an upset win over Indi-Arna Morris at second single. Jasmine Adams won her debut State League singles match for Glenlea when she overcame Brianna Dent while Golden Grove’s Simeona Stakic was able to score her team’s only rubber with a Yasmin Bennet.

Denman ladies proved too strong for Trinity Gardens with a 4-2 rubber win. Trinity’s Jovana Petrov was too good for Casey Jackson at number one single before Denman’s Jill Scott and Michelle Mackenzie got Denman back on track with singles victories. Denman claimed the fourth single and bottom double to claim the victory that leaves them with a sniff of finals.
