Tennis SA is thrilled to welcome The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Martin Haese as the Official Ambassador for TennisFest.

Martin was elected as Lord Mayor in 2014. As a city resident, entrepreneur and educator, he is committed to serving the City of Adelaide’s residential, commercial and visitor communities.

At 27 years of age, Martin opened his first retail store in the city and grew the business into a successful national enterprise with 220 employees. Martin studied an MBA and later became the General Manager of the Rundle Mall Management Authority.

He co-founded the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation in SA and has served on several boards including South Australian Youth Arts, Rundle Mall, Adelaide Convention Bureau and the Property Council Mainstreet Committee.

Martin was the Chairman of the world’s largest historic motoring event – The Bay to Birdwood – and, the national Chair of the Council of Capital City Lord Mayors in 2015.

Martin has also worked as a lecturer for MBA students, has travelled widely and done business internationally.

Martin believes that technology will provide many of the solutions for many of today’s problems and opportunities. As Lord Mayor, he is focused on enhancing Adelaide’s reputation as a smart, sustainable and innovative city where ‘good things happen first’.

Martin’s immediate goal is for Adelaide to become a smart, green, livable and creative city. The ultimate goal is to become the world’s most livable city.

“I am thrilled to be announced as the Official Ambassador of Tennis SA’s TennisFest,” Mr Haese said.

“TennisFest is set to showcase a full spectrum of tennis events from 18-24 November.”

“TennisFest is an excellent opportunity for current tennis players to get involved, but will also offer new events to cater for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.”

“As the Official Ambassador I am excited to be a part of such an innovative and inclusive event,” Mr Haese added.
