South Australia’s Alex Bolt and Bradley Mousley have been awarded wildcards into the main draw of the City of Onkaparinga ATP Challenger starting Monday 4 January, alongside fellow Aussies Marc Polmans and Matthew Barton.

Bolt comes into the main draw as the highest ranked Australian player, with a current world ranking of 269. Bolt has been a solid performer on the Challenger circuit in recent times, reaching singles quarter finals in both Traralgon and Canberra late in 2015. 22-year-old Bolt will be looking to continue his good form and improve on last year’s semi-final round appearance at the inaugural City of Onkaparinga ATP Challenger.

Mousley has burst on to the scene, reaching a career high singles ranking of 557 in December of 2015. Mousley has had a successful year reaching two ITF singles finals, winning three ITF doubles titles and was recently awarded a coveted position in the Australian Open Mixed Doubles draw alongside Jessica Moore. Mousley will be looking to build on his recent good form heading in to Australia’s summer of tennis.

Alex and Bradley are being joined by newly crowned 18 and under Australian Champion, Marc Polmans, along with two-time 2015 ITF Futures singles and former Charles Sturt Adelaide International champion, Matthew Barton.

“We are obviously thrilled to announce the inclusion of four Australians to the field for the City of Onkaparinga ATP Challenger 2016,” said Tournament Director Dylan Hicks.

“The countdown to the event is on, with Happy Valley Tennis Club and tournament staff in final preparations for the tournament starting on 2 January,” Hicks added.
