The AO Blitz will arrive in Happy Valley on Sunday 27 October in search of the nation’s fastest serve.

If you have what it takes to hit the fastest serve, come along to win an opportunity to clock your speed on Rod Laver Arena during Australian Open 2014.

The AO Blitz is the largest participation drive in Australian tennis history, and offers both experienced players and those who have never picked up a racquet the chance to win major prizes and have an Australian Open 2014 player represent their local town.

The AO Blitz is comprised of two parts – free community tennis days and an online interactive competition at www.aoblitz.com.au.

The AO Blitz will visit the Happy Valley Tennis Club, Taylors Road West, Happy Valley on Sunday 27 October from 11:30am –  4:30pm.

Onkaparinga Mayor Lorraine Rosenberg will attend the event at 12:00pm.

Locals will have the chance to participate in a range of tennis activities including:

  • Photo opportunities with the Australian Open trophies – the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup (men’s singles trophy) and Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup (women’s singles trophy)
  • MLC Tennis Hot Shots – modified tennis designed especially for children
  • Cardio Tennis – new tennis fitness workout
  • Speed serve challenge
    • Jumping castle
    • Barbecue
    • Face painting
    • Plus fun giveaways to take home

**At the Happy Valley AO Blitz stop we will also be fundraising for our charity partners the National Breast Cancer Foundation and Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
