13 February 2013 | Tennis SA

The Reade Park Pro Am was an ‘institution’ on the Adelaide tennis calendar between 1989 and 2004 – and we are resurrecting it on the afternoon of Tuesday, 5 March 2013.

The event has room for 24 local ‘Pros’ ( State League/Winter Pennant/Division 1 Saturday Morning Mens … or equivalent) and 48 ‘Amateurs’ (anyone else who can hit a decent ball!) who will enjoy:

  • A high standard of tennis on some of Adelaide’s best lawn courts
  • Approximately $2,000 worth of prizes
  • Quality food and beverages at the presentation BBQ dinner (and drinks during the afternoon)

The format is that each Amateur plays 5 x 40 point rubbers, paired with a different Pro each time. The aggregate of points won decides both the Pro and Amateur winner lists.  We also plan to have an all Amateur round when the ‘Pros’ can take a break.
