4 April 2012 | Tennis SA

Tennis Australia is hosting the Trainee Coach course during April at Memorial Drive.  The Tennis Australia Trainee Coaching Course is designed to train coaches to develop the skills of junior tennis players aged 4-12 years, with a focus on enjoyment and learner success. The principal focus is to develop the participant’s ability to deliver coaching sessions rather than to plan or construct lessons.

It provides the participants with:

  • A general overview of coaching principles (learning styles, effective coaching and class management, using the modified environment, communication skills etc.)
  • Fundamental Perceptual Motor Skill development (the skills that underpin tennis strokes and movement-perception, tracking skills, locomotion and striking)
  • Stoke Production and Tennis Tactics

Course details

  • Date: 21/22 and 28/29 April
  • Cost: $440 for the 4-days
  • Venue: Tennis SA, Memorial Drive, North Adelaide SA 5006

This is a great introductory course and will provide your assistants with a sound knowledge base to deliver coaching sessions in your environment under a qualified head coach.
