Mental illness doesn’t discriminate – and that includes our sporting communities.  Players, teammates, coaches, support staff and volunteers. Our friends and family on the sidelines.

We’re proud to be one of a number of sporting organisations from across South Australia taking part in the Breakthrough Community Round on Saturday 15 August to raise funds for Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation and increase awareness for the need for mental health research.

To register your club, please click here.

We hope you’ll get behind Breakthrough Round to help raise funds towards groundbreaking research to better understand what causes mental illness, how to treat it and how to prevent it from happening.

Further information
The SA-based Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation is Australia’s only dedicated mental health research foundation.

Breakthrough is partnering with community sporting clubs and leagues across the state to hold a round dedicated to mental health.

Funds raised by clubs will directly fund ground breaking research to better understand what causes mental illness, how to treat it and how to prevent it from happening.

Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation is not a mental health support service. If you or someone close to you is experiencing distress or is in immediate danger, please contact the SA mental health triage service on 13 14 65 or Lifeline 13 11 14.
