The SA team travels to Hobart on the 17th of October for a week of tennis in both the teams event and an individual event as part of the School Sport Australia Tennis 12 years and Under Championships.
The SA team was selected after three closely contested trials where players played over 10 matches to win their spot in the team.
The 14 players who were selected all performed brilliantly and have formed a very even team. The team is made up of 13 players from the metropolitan area and one player from Port Lincoln. Of these 14 players, three are returning to the team after representing SA in Darwin last year, where the team won the bronze medal.
Our trainings have had a strong focus on teamwork and doubles play which hopefully will have a positive effect on the teams performance in Hobart.
