Ballarat Regional Tennis Centre is located in Wendouree, Ballarat with 12 hard courts, 6 synthetic clay courts and 6 hot shot courts. All courts have lighting. BRTC facilitates many social, developmental and competitive playing opportunities.

Primary Purpose of Role (why does the role exist?)

This position is responsible for the ongoing management and financial sustainability of BRTC and to ensure its operations aligns with the club’s mission and vision.  This includes ensuring that BRTC continues to develop into a centre that is welcoming, safe, inclusive, innovative, community focused and socially connected.

The role also is responsible for promoting the benefits of participation in tennis for the benefit of the club, club members and general public including schools and other community groups.

Success in this role would mean that BRTC continues to be financially secure and is viewed throughout the local and state community as a centre that develops and supports regional, state and national level tennis players. Success would also mean that appropriate activity has grown membership and community involvement in the tennis centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, present and implement business plans to ensure financial security of the club including payments of accounts and invoicing of club memberships and competitions.
  • Ensure appropriate management of day to day activities of the centre including but not limited to stocking of kiosk and bar, some cleaning of facilities and overseeing court maintenance.
  • Planning, development and implementation of programs including but not limited to;
    • Junior
    • Member Competitions
    • Tennis Victoria Competitions
    • School holiday
    • Fitness
    • Other Competition programs
  • Coaching players of all levels and collaborate with other BRTC coaches to provide best coaching and environment to all players. Expected to participate in all on court programs.
  • Develop program targeting membership growth.
  • Engage, communicate and manage relationships with all relevant stakeholders
  • Community Engagement Program including School Programs.
  • Player Tournament support including travelling with teams to other competitions.
  • Maintaining a strong community atmosphere and promote tennis with all families and individuals in any club activities.
  • Seek grants and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Management of website and other social media platforms.
  • Act as a tournament Director for all BRTC tournaments.

Qualifications and Experience:

Necessary:

  • Previous club management.
  • Minimum of seven years of Coaching experience.
  • Minimum of two years of coaching experience with performance players.
  • Relevant certification from a recognised tennis coaching association (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prepared to work flexible hours including working on evenings, weekends and school holidays
  • Have a current Tennis Australia coaching membership or willingness and ability to obtain.

Preferred:

  • Finance skills.
  • Played tennis at a very high competitive level.
  • Experience with offering tournament support.

Hillside Tennis Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Coach to deliver high quality tennis programs for adults and children.

Hillside Tennis Club was established in 2004 and is situated at the Parkwood Green Recreation Reserve. The club currently has six LED lit synthetic grass tennis courts plus outdoor BBQ area with court side and under covering seating together with a large spacious clubroom with accessible toilets and storage rooms. The club has a healthy growing number of active members who range from social to competitive play.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Ready to hit the ground running and has at least five years coaching experience with both juniors and seniors.

Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced tennis coach to run Club-based programs under the supervision of a High Performance Coach.

In this role, The Senior Coach would be responsible for delivering a high competency of coaching with both to junior and senior players with a main focus of participating in district competition and tournament play. The successful candidate would be competent in delivering Club-based programs such as Hot Shots, junior groups/squads, cardio tennis, adult groups, and private lessons. The role will involve administration duties and customer service duties.

Ideally you will have experience of working within a girls’ performance tennis program or have a coaching focus in this area.

Ultimately joining their local club, for social play, and/ or representing the Club, in Club Based Competition.

This position is only available to coaches with working rights in Australia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Senior and Assistant Coaches

Ace Fun Tennis School is looking for Senior and Assistant coaches to join our growing team in 2024. You will be responsible for delivering hotshots and cardio tennis classes. You will not need to perform any administrative tasks if you do not wish. Full uniform is supplied. License and own transport is advised.

Some experience is necessary, however, training will be provided and professional development is encouraged. Ace Fun Tennis School pride itself on putting children at the front of our business model and philosophy.

We are looking for long term coaches. As the Head Junior Tennis Coach, you’ll take the reins of our junior program. There is additional development to act as an emergency coach for the adult program when needed. Your hands-on approach and ability to understand the basics of tennis is fundamental, along with the responsibility of devising lesson plans for our coaching team.
