Overview

The Director of Coaching will have a high degree of independence and will be a key part of our senior management team and a vital part of day to day club life. This role will be the face of tennis and coaching within the Club. Member engagement, including participating with Members and watching and analysing juniors are just some of the expectations of this role.

To assume full responsibility, in consultation with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operations Officer, for the delivery of the Club’s tennis and tennis coaching programs. It is envisaged that a minimum of 50% of the role will be on court coaching but this will likely vary at different times of the year and with consideration of the objectives of the person in the role.

This role will, through our junior programs and pathways provide an opportunity to link to the Foundation and their fundraising efforts (for example the opportunity to create a junior scholarship that might support an overseas coaching experience)

The role will oversee the day to day running of the Club’s tennis coaching programs; and the day to day coaching service delivery to Members and guests.

Romsey and Lancefield Tennis Clubs are two country tennis clubs about 30 minutes north of Tullamarine Airport. Our club coach is taking up a position elsewhere in 2020. At present there are 62 children being coached, as well as 14 adults doing cardio tennis. Coaching takes place Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon/evening. Senior Coach

Overview

The Geelong Lawn Tennis Club is going through an exciting growth phase. We’re looking for a professional and highly motivated coach to join our team and support the steady growth of our coaching programs.

The position is available for either a senior coach to run a range of programs including Hot shots, Cardio Tennis, Junior groups, squads, adult groups and private lessons OR for a junior coach who can run Hot Shots lessons and wants to grow his skills as a coach.
Ideally we’re looking for a long term coach who wants to grow with the club however seasonal applicants will also be considered ( upon relevant working Visa)

The successful candidate will need:
– Strong experience in successfully running Hot Shots (as well as other coaching programs if possible).
– TA Level 1 (Junior Dev) qualified coach or with the desire to get qualified soon.

– Availability on Weeknights from 4pm onwards.

The role offers approx. 2 to 5 evenings on the court depending on the versatility and availability of the coach. There are also a potential to get extra hours with Customer service, admin or pro shop depending on your skills.
