Head Coach

Overview

The Club is seeking a Full Time Tennis Coach. The Coach would make the Club their base and personally provide the full range of coaching services at the Club as well as fill the role of Junior Convenor.

The Club intends to enter into a long term contract (3+ years) with the successful applicant. The current Coaching Contract ends on 30 June 2020. We aim to finalise selection of the future coach by end of April.

The Club has 9 courts (6 with lights) and current membership of 250. It has a 15 year lease with the local council signed in 2016.

Following completion of a Business Plan in 2018 the Club has taken several initiatives in a bid to better meet the needs of the local community:
– Installation of fob-based entry to the courts and clubhouse
– A broad range of access options (casual, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, annual)
– Redevelopment of 2 courts, new classic clay surface + replacement LED lighting.

There is significant expansion in medium density living, together with a major influx of recent migrants. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a capacity to market their services and meet community needs in this environment.
