The Sheldon Academy of Sport Tennis program is seeking to add another full-time coach to our exceptional team. Operating out of a modern, LED floodlit facility at Sheldon College near Brisbane, our five-year-old program currently services approximately 300 members of the College community.
The core of this role is conducting group and private tennis lessons with children and adults of all ages and levels of ability, though additional variety is available within other aspects of the program, such as running fixture programs, stringing racquets and taking leadership of particular areas of interest. The successful applicant will be motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, caring and well-presented and will ideally hold or be working towards a Tennis Australia Junior Development coaching qualification. Applicants will value working in a collaborative environment in which coaching ideas are shared and will be aided by our two full-time Tennis Australia Club Professionals. Tennis For Kids has hours available for energetic and reliable tennis coaches. Shifts are available weekdays between the hours of 7am-8:30am and 3pm-5pm. Coaches receive guaranteed hours for a full school term and must be able to commit to working regular days and sessions. Depending upon your availability and preference you could commit to 2 hours or 15 hours each week (1 shift to 10 shifts per week).
Successful applicants must have excellent communication skills, be passionate about promoting tennis and love working with children. Your own reliable car to get you and your equipment to each school location is also necessary. A Tennis Australia or ATPCA qualification is preferred but not necessary. The pay rate is $30-$55 per hour depending upon qualifications and experience. Performance based term bonuses are also available. Coaches are given plenty of autonomy, and all equipment is provided by Tennis For Kids.
