Venue: Tewantin Noosa Tennis Club.

The club is located within the Noosa District Sports Complex off McKinnon Drive Tewantin and comprises ten synthetic grass courts in an attractive bushland setting.
The club currently has approximately 170 members and welcomes a regular flow of casual players. The club has 8 lit courts, 4 of which use LED lighting.

Role Summary:
This position requires an experienced coach with several years of full-time coaching experience.
You will need to be friendly and enthusiastic and should have experience in working with a community-based club.
You will be expected to deliver lessons to children and adults through Hot Shots Tennis, yellow ball classes, private lessons, adult groups, tennis holiday clinics and school lessons.
Assisting in the running of tournaments at the lower age group, and restringing racquets are also required.
As the head coach, you will also support regional based programs including the Sunshine Coast Tennis League and other initiatives.

Our programs include the following:
ANZ Hot Shots
– Coach tennis fundamentals and skills to children aged between 4 – 12 years. Classes are for different levels of standard in red ball, orange ball and green ball.

Private Lessons
– Coach clients of different ages and abilities in tennis and focus on their technical and tactical fundamental improvements in these sessions.

Group Lessons
– Coach clients of different ages and abilities in groups focusing on improving technical and tactical tennis skills.

School Programs
– Coach school aged children’s programs in basic tennis skills and getting more kids participating in the game of tennis.

Holiday Clinics
– Coach groups of children during the school holidays with a focus on teaching basic tennis skills as well as technical and tactical improvements.

Requirements:
• TA coaching qualifications- (Club Pro preferred)
• Current Blue Card, Police check
• First Aid Qualifications
• Ability to effectively communicate with players, club members and the Club Committee
• Up to date Covid Vaccinations to allow for participation in school programs
• The ability to work with schools and community based organisations
• Experience operating a large venue
• Experience implementing new programs.
• A report to the Club Committee on a monthly basis.

Role Summary: As an influential member of the Malpass Tennis team you will be required to monitor and assist other Tennis Coaches to help them to perform at the best of their ability. You will also be required to use your knowledge of the sport to provide engaging, safe and informative sessions to all clients.

School Coach

Overview

Tennis For Kids has hours available for energetic and reliable tennis coaches. Shifts are available weekdays between the hours of 7am-8:30am and 3pm-5pm. Coaches receive guaranteed hours for a full school term and must be able to commit to working regular days and sessions. Depending upon your availability and preference you could commit to 2 hours or 15 hours each week (1 shift to 10 shifts per week).

Successful applicants must have excellent communication skills, be passionate about promoting tennis and love working with children. Your own reliable car to get you and your equipment to each school location is also necessary. A Tennis Australia or ATPCA qualification is preferred but not necessary.

The pay rate is $30-$55 per hour depending upon qualifications and experience. Performance based term bonuses are also available. Coaches are given plenty of autonomy, and all equipment is provided by Tennis For Kids.
