Overview

AE Tennis is a Leading International Tennis Academy based in Shenzhen, China. We coach tennis to students in English using LTA/PTR/GPTCA coaches.

Shenzhen is located in the South of China, just above Hong Kong. The city is one of the four ‘Tier 1’ cities in China (the others are Beijing, Shanghai Guangzhou) and is currently one of the 10 fastest growing cities in the world. The city boasts a modern and affordable metro system and is now located 15 minutes from Hong Kong by High Speed Train.

We hire courts in several high-quality external venues which are top 10 tennis center in Shenzhen City, namely The Hilton Hotel, Shenzhen Bay Sports Center and OCT Sports Center. We have also developed partnerships with 8 International schools in Shenzhen where we provide ASA (After School Activities) Tennis lessons, as well as Chinese Public Schools where we offer daytime P.E classes.

The Role

We are looking to hire 2 coaches to help run our range of programs at our tennis academy. The role will involve a combination of tennis coaching and some office work.

Tennis coaching:

• 25-35 hours of coaching a week
• Individual and group coaching
• Mini tennis, cardio tennis and schools tennis
• Help run and organise competitions
• Run promotional events at schools and new bases

Office Work:

• Write reports for all students per semester

About You

Candidates will need to have the following qualifications and experience:

• Minimum LTA Level 2 above or international equivalent
• Experience in delivering mini tennis from ages 4-13
• Experience in delivering both group and individual sessions
• DBS certificate/ no criminal record
• GCSE/A-Level/Degree Certificates for VISA application

• Willingness to grow and develop as a coach and in other areas.

Salary (approx.)

• Base Salary: $3100 per month
• $64 per hour after 80 coaching hours per month filled.
• Once schedule is filled (takes up to 4/5 months) expect to earn $4800 per month (post-tax)
• Quarterly bonus of $900: 360 coaching hours or more per 3 months
• Annual year-end bonus: $5500 per year.

Length of Contract – 2 years
