About the Role:

Reporting to the Head Tennis Professional, this position is responsible for delivering a variety of lesson programs, building relationships with members and guests to provide an exceptional experience. This is a casual role with the potential to earn between $55 to $70 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Availability is required on weekends between 6.30am and 7pm with the possibility to take on extra lessons on Mondays and Thursdays.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating and conducting existing and new individual and group tennis lessons, including Club programs;
• Involved in the coordination of and running of school holiday programs;
• Assessing members and guests’ tennis skills to determine areas in need of improvement;
• Developing suitable training programs for members and guests based on a termly program;
• Delivering Junior Tennis lessons especially for Orange & Green Ball level;
• Attending meetings and Club events as required;
• Building rapport and professional relationships with members and guests on site
• Restringing racquets
• Maintaining an organised weekly lesson schedule updating court bookings, cancellations and lesson availability

Essential Requirements:

Orange Indoor Tennis Club is a modern facility comprising of 5 Plexicushion courts with new LED lighting, large stylish off-court viewing area, pro-shop with kitchen facilities. No days are lost to rain, providing certainty of budgeting.

The Club is seeking energetic Managers to take over under a licence agreement which is on a 5 + 5 basis. Due to ill health, we seek to transition to new Management as soon as possible.

We are looking for experienced and driven professional coaches to deliver exceptional coaching services for Term 2 and Term 3 in 2025. Initially starting with 30+ hours per week, this role will rapidly scale to full-time hours. The role requires flexibility, with the majority of working hours Monday through Friday through the day & in the evening, and one full working day on the weekend.

ABOUT YOU:

• Club Professional (Level 2) Coach
• Minimum 3 years of Full-Time coaching experience
• Able to provide proof of adequate insurance, qualification, Working With Children Checks, and First Aid certification.
• Leadership experience, including mentoring or managing teams
• Experience in designing and leading group workshops or training sessions.
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

We are seeking a motivated, passionate and dedicated Coach to join the Parkes Tennis Club to continue building a strong future for tennis in our town. The opportunities for coaching programs and junior development are only limited by your imagination.

As our new Coach, you will have experience in coaching both juniors and seniors, running competitions and Tennis Australia’s Hot Shots program. We envisage you will also hold private lessons, support local and regional tournaments and foster and develop umpires and other roles. You will be someone who is organised, motivated and with great communication skills.

Parkes is located in the heart of New South Wales and offers a fantastic lifestyle and a welcoming and inclusive community. With a population of approximately 13,000, Parkes boasts a thriving local economy with key industries including agriculture, mining, transport and logistics. Parkes is currently experiencing exciting growth driven by infrastructure projects like the Inland Rail project. Our town is very well known for hosting the Parkes Elvis Festival which bring thousands of visitors every January and it also home of the Parkes Radio Telescope (the ‘Dish’). The larger centres of Orange and Dubbo are only 1hr away by car and there are regular Rex flights to Sydney.

Parkes and the surrounding smaller communities have numerous primary and secondary schools. Most of these participate in local school programs, school activities and local/area competitions. The Club regularly hosts trials for area teams, an annual RMS tournament and have secured a J125 for 2025.

Parkes Tennis Club was 2024 NSW Country Club of the Year and the Committee manages facilities including 12 synthetic grass courts with lighting that were refurbished in 2023. We also have a tidy clubhouse with large undercover bbq area, full canteen, function room, pro room and amenities.

Our new and progressive committee are open to negotiating a flexible management/operator arrangement with the possibility of a free trial period. We are also happy to discuss a coaching agreement for the right applicant.
