Tennis World – Head Coach

Tennis World are looking for a Head Coach to lead our group of coaches at one of our Sydney Venues. Reporting to the Facility Manager, this challenging role will require a diverse tennis professional who is able to fulfil their duties on court at a high level as well as assist in managing the facility and a team of coaches.

You will be required to:

•Complete an initial minimum of 15-25 hours per week, expanding quickly to 40 hours.
•Create programs that demonstrate a clear progression for juniors – from Hot Shots all the way to elite junior level.
•Develop, manage and grow adult programs.
•Create and manage rosters of coaches, utilising their strengths that best benefits the client and the business.
•Be the face of the facility and liaise with parents, teachers etc.
•Travel to nearby schools to head up our school programs where necessary.
•Create initiatives that lead to increased participation.
•Must be fluent in written and spoken English and be an Australian resident.
•Driver’s licence essential.

Hills District Tennis Association Inc is seeking a motivated and dynamic TA qualified Head Coach to operate a coaching business at our Dural Tennis facility (Quarry Road). The centre is ideally located in the attractive, semi-rural area of North-West Sydney, close to local shops, schools and around 10 minutes from other high-growth North West suburbs including; Castle Hill, Cherrybrook and West Pennant Hills.

As Head Coach you would be working alongside the Association and along with a very proactive committee . You would be expected to deliver Junior and Adult HDTA coaching/competition programs, as well as your own Hot Shots programs, holiday camps, school programs and private/group lessons. There would also be an opportunity to start and manage your own competitions at the centre which should complement the competitions the club and our Castle Hill head coach currently manage.

As Head coach you would also be expected to continue to coach our Club junior representative squads held one afternoon each week during the school term at the centre.

To be considered for this position, you should have proven senior tennis coaching capabilities, a dynamic personality, great customer service and appropriate TA qualifications ( level 2 or advanced) – Club Pro Coach (minimum).

You should also be enthusiastic and willing to take a proactive role promoting, marketing and growing the business, whilst continuing to deliver the outstanding service and care our members and wider community enjoy.

Hills District Tennis Association is flexible and welcomes any ideas you may have in relation to the type of contract that would mutually benefit both parties. There is also the option to take on partial Centre Facility Management if this is of interest to you.
