Paul was elected to the Board by the Members in November 2023 after being a member of the Tennis West Competition and League Committee for over 18 months.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Western Australia  and is a Lead Control & Safety Systems Engineer delivering projects across the WA resources industry for over 30 years. Paul has honed the skills of strategy formulation, project management, and effective collaboration within teams. As President of East Fremantle Lawn Tennis Club, Paul leveraged these skills to drive transformative facility developments and innovative tennis programs that saw the Club thrive.

Both Paul, and his wife Narelle, experienced the trials and the joys of tennis as competitive players themselves, and as parents of three children who played in the Tennis West League through their junior years. Consequently, Paul has a deep understanding of player development, the tennis club landscape and the role tennis plays in building local community spirit.

Paul brings a player, parent and club administrator’s perspective, and an engineer’s discipline, to Tennis West. He will be a strong advocate for well-rounded player development, the nurturing of future tennis stars, and support and guidance to allow the clubs that underpin our wonderful WA tennis community to thrive.
