Sunsmart Coach Grant

With our much-valued partnership with Healthway, Tennis West and our valued coaches will continue to work collaboratively to promote:

improved physical health through physical activity and participation in Tennis programs and events
improved mental health and wellbeing through the sense of belonging and community at local clubs
the promotion and collaboration with clubs to improved nutrition and healthy food choices made available at venues

We will continue to offer SunSmart Grants through our Healthway Coach Grant program. Available for both metro and regional coaches, we aim to offer support to assist in the coordination and delivery of an all-inclusive coach-led community event. Building awareness of our much-loved sport, promoting our clubs run by dedicated and hardworking committees and endorsing specific Healthway messaging, we aim to make our sport more accessible, and contribute to the growth in tennis participation.

Coaches are invited to submit a grant application for funding to assist in delivering a SunSmart Coach event. The funding scope is up to $500 (plus GST, if applicable) per application. Coaches will be notified of the outcome, and funding will be paid following the conclusion of the event and receipt of acquittal documents.

Have you recently, within the last 2 months, met with your Tennis West participation team representative to discuss Tennis Australia programs, school connections or ClubSpark for coaches (just to name a few initiatives)

SunSmart Community Event must be run at a tennis club

A representative from your coach team is committed to attending, the up-coming Safeguarding Children workshop/s

Commitment to a minimum of 3 social media and/or website posts with the required SunSmart branding – post prior, during and post event
