National Court Rebate and Facility Loan Scheme.

National Court Rebate

Four projects from Western Australia will be receiving support from round two of Tennis Australia’s 2016/2017 National Court Rebate Program.  In what was one of the most challenging assessment rounds (with over 90 applications) the four successful West Australian projects have done extremely well.

  • Chapman Valley Tennis Club (Shire of Chapman Valley)-Replacement of two synthetic grass courts with a hard court surface. The existing courts are 25 years old and in need of replacement, the hard court option is anticipated to eliminate damage being done by birds who have a love of synthetic grass.
  • Dunsborough and Districts Country Club (City of Busselton)-Two new hard courts to be added to the four courts currently used by the club. The club is also replacing the synthetic surface on two existing courts.
  • Hensman Park Tennis Club (City of South Perth)-Resurfacing of three existing hard courts. Changing from the old green courts to the Australia Open blue courts.
  • Safety Bay Tennis Club (City of Rockingham)-Resurfacing of 11 hard courts.

An investment of $30,540 into Western Australian tennis facilities is a great boost for tennis venues all-round the state.  Round 1 of the 2017/2018 National Court Rebate Program will close in September 2017.  Clubs and local government authorities can discuss prospective projects with the team at Tennis West at any time.

Facility Loan Scheme.

In addition to the NCR, Tennis Australia also provides the Facility Loan Scheme. Are you or your local clubs thinking about doing some infrastructure renewal or development but are a couple of thousand dollars short? Did you know that Tennis Australia has a Facility Loan Program that funds up to $80,000? These low cost loans are available to affiliated tennis venues and can help get infrastructure projects progressing faster.
