Western Australia’s only Junior Signature event of the year wrapped up at Royal Kings Park Tennis Club last week.

Over 140 players including some from WA’s Midwest, Victoria and Northern Territory participated in the Signature event with a total of 247 matches over four days from January 21 to January 24.

In the newly introduced points race, the Signature event offers 500 points to winners of U14 and U12s Signature Series towards the End-of-Season Junior Tour Masters. Additionally, winners of U14s and U12s Signature Series receive a wildcard into the Claycourt Nationals held in April.

Tennis West CEO Brett Patten and Head of Competitions and League Shane Smedley were there to present the awards to the winners.

Final day presentations included sportsmanship awards with Royal Kings Park giving special RKPTC towels and spoons to those who displayed exceptional sportsmanship. Under 14 boy’s and girl’s winners received a complimentary one-year membership to Royal Kings Park Tennis Club.
