Queensland’s Priscilla Hon was among several Australian women enjoying big moves up the WTA rankings this week.
Hon rose eight places to a career-best mark of No.130 when her points from reaching the recent Pro Tour final in Canberra were added to her ranking.
Hon has enjoyed a impressive 2019 season, qualifying for three WTA events and making a spectacular Fed Cup debut against the United States.

Olivia Rogowska enjoyed the biggest jump of any Australian this week; after beating Hon in the Canberra final two weeks ago, she rose 35 spots to 239th.
Her highest-ever ranking was No.102, back in 2014.
Also making moves north were Astra Sharma and Destanee Aiava, who won two rounds of qualifying to reach the main draw of last week’s WTA tournament in Charleston.
Sharma entered the Australian Open ranked No.232 and since then has risen almost 100 places, while Aiava has improved her position significantly after beginning the 2019 season ranked No.249.
There was limited movement in the ATP rankings this week due to no men’s tour-level events taking place last week.
