It is both an honour and a privilege on behalf of Tennis West President Wayne Firns to welcome our newest Tennis West Board members. Upon reading their collective experience, skills and abilities I’m sure you’ll agree we are in safe hands with the collective acumen that has been added to the dedicated Board. Joining current Board members President Wayne Firns, Vice President Warren Harding and Directors: Karen Jessop, Ian Meares, Ray Collins and Bill Price are:

Elizabeth Swanson

Elizabeth Swanson, has joined the Tennis West Board. Elizabeth brings a wealth of cross-functional, commercial experience and an international perspective derived from 20 years working in Europe, North America and Australia. She has successfully designed and implemented global commercial strategies, business improvement programs and complex change initiatives across one of the world’s leading resources companies. She is equally comfortable addressing conceptual challenges and solving more tactical, operational issues.

Elizabeth joined the Board in November 2015.

Carl Black

Carl Black, has joined the Board of Tennis West and is a Partner at Squire Patton Boggs. He was a Director of the Tennis NT Board for 11 years and an accomplished junior player being a member of State Squads for many years. He has been involved in tennis for over 30 years at many levels as a player and administrator.

Carl advises public and private-sector clients on diverse property and finance related matters.

He has a significant background in high-profile joint venture real estate developments across Western Australia (WA) from residential land development through to community facilities. He advises from project financing and land acquisition through to development, marketing and sales agreements.

Carl joined the Board in January 2016.

Narelle Finch

Narelle has extensive Board experience, including but not limited to the WA Cricket Association (WACA) and VenuesWest, the WA Government’s statutory authority that manages major State-owned sporting facilities.

Narelle is an exceptionally experienced marketing executive, with expertise gained through working roles in marketing and management around Australia for over twenty years.   Narelle has managed some of Australia’s most well known and loved sporting brands including the Australian Cricket team and the Fremantle Football Club.

Narelle specialises in the creation of new and sustainable revenue streams and sponsorship is an area of particular expertise and experience. Narelle is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Graduate of the Company Directors Course.

Narelle is the newest member of the Board, joining at the end of April 2016
