Nick Kyrgios will make his first competitive outing since the Australian Open at this week’s Open 13 in Marseille, France.

Kyrgios, the world No.42, will open against Canada’s Vasek Pospisil, with the winner expected to face No.5 seed Gilles Simon.

Simon faces Russian Teymuraz Gabashvili first up.

The ATP 250-level indoor tournament features three of the world’s top 10 – Stan Wawrinka, Tomas Berdych and Richard Gasquet – and has been a feature on the circuit since 1993.

Meanwhile, in Delray Beach in Florida, five Australians will be in action at the Floridian hardcourt event.

Bernard Tomic, the No.2 seed, leads the charge and begins against American Rajeev Ram.

Also in the draw are unseeded Aussies John Millman, Sam Groth and Matt Ebden.

Millman has drawn No.6 seed Steve Johnson, yet arrives in Delray Beach having won four of his past six matches.

Should Groth get past American wildcard Noah Rubin and Ebden past fifth seed Jeremy Chardy, they would meet in an all-Aussie second-round match.

John Patrick Smith entered the main draw after winning two matches in qualifying, and faces a tough opening round assignment in the form of No.3 seed Ivo Karlovic.

The tournament is headed by top seed Kevin Anderson.

On the women’s side, Daria Gavrilova will be in action in the Middle East at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

Gavrilova, playing for the first time since a fourth-round run at the Australian Open, will tackle Ana Ivanovic in the opening round for a shot at top seed Simona Halep.

Gavrilova beat Ivanovic in three sets in Rome last year.
