Olivia Tjandramulia (QLD) has taken out the 2016 Mildura Grand Tennis International doubles event after teaming up for the first time with American Jessica Wacnik. The pair defeated third seeds Mana Ayuwaka and Yuki Tanaka of Japan 6-0 6-3.

In the men’s doubles final No.3 seeds Steven De Waard (QLD) and Marc Polmans faced top seeds Alex Bolt and Andrew Whittington. After taking the first set 6-3, De Waard and Polmans gave up the second in a titanic tiebreaker before dominating the match tiebreak to take the title 6-3 6-7(9) [10-6].

Sara Tomic’s spectacular run from qualifying came to an end in the first women’s semifinal after she bowed out to Russian Anastasia Pivovarova. Tomic showed some grit to take the match to a deciding set, but eventually succumbed 6-4 3-6 7-5.

Second seed Gavin Van Peperzeel (QLD) was eliminated in the men’s semifinal after an upset win from Dayne Kelly [6] 4-6 6-1 3-6. Kelly went on to win the men’s singles event and his fifth ITF Futures title.
