Chelsea Groundwater, Nina Cincovic, Lily Clements-Markham and Georgia Townsend have qualified as Queensland’s representatives at the WTA Future Stars “Road to Singapore” National Finals from the 5-6 September in Sydney.

Fifteen girls from secondary schools around Brisbane competed in “Fast 4” round robin competition with the 14/U and 16/U winner and runner up now going on to compete against the winners from NSW and VIC events. Winners of the Australian event will get a once-in-a-lifetime experience not only to compete in the WTA Future Stars tournament but to meet their WTA idols in Singapore from 20-27 October.

Australia will compete against 17 other countries at the tournament including: Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Brunei, Myanmar, Laos, China, Japan, Korea, India, Chinese-Taipei, New Zealand, and Hong Kong.
