Get in the Game

Upcoming Information Sessions
On 5 July 2015, the Minister announced a three year, $80 million investment in the Get in the Game initiative to support sport and recreation at the grassroots level.

Local sporting clubs are invited to attend upcoming local information sessions that will provide more information about who can apply, how to apply, amount of funding, eligible projects and application dates.

Option 111 August 2015   
Time: 5.00 – 5.45pm (Immediately prior to the free Developing Leaders in Sport and Recreation Workshop)

Option 219 August 2015
Time: 5.00 – 5.45pm (Immediately prior to the free Sports Facility Management Workshop)

Get in the Game funding Programs

Get Started Vouchers which provides up to $150 to assist children and young people who can least afford or may otherwise benefit from joining a sport or recreation club.

Get Going Clubs which supports not-for-profit sport and recreation organisations with up to $7,500 for projects to create and provide Queenslanders access to participation opportunities.

Get Playing Places and Spaces which provides funding up to $100,000 for the development of places and spaces.

Get Playing Plus which provides between $300,000 and $1.5 million to increase participation opportunities, meet regional service gaps and address regional needs.
