23 March 2015 | Tennis Queensland

On Wednesday, the 8th of April, the region will be hosting a software workshop at the Sunshine Coast Regional Tennis Centre-At Caloundra. The workshop will run from 10:00am-4:00pm with LUNCH provided  by the Sunshine Coast Regional Tennis Assembly.  Travis Dragojlo from Tennis Queensland will be coming up from Brisbane to conduct the session for the region.  The two software programs that will be reviewed are Tournament Planner and Competitions Planner.  Both programs are offered to each affiliate as part of your affiliation fee.

Tournament Planner:  (10:00AM-12:30PM)  Tournament Planner (TP) is the software package available as a benefit to Tennis Queensland affiliates to run tournaments.  All Australian Ranking point tournaments and JDS tournaments use TP with the package available for all affiliate to use for their club championships or any other tournament that they conduct.  A great opportunity to learn the software and make all events at your club in a digital format.

 Lunch:  (12:30pm-1:30pm)

Competition Planner: (1:30pm-4:00pm) Competition Planner is a free online competition management system that allows players to view their draws, results and statistics in real time.  This easy-to-use program has been designed for managing team-based leagues and is the only league-management software that is endorsed by Tennis Australia.  Competition Planner was designed with the league administrator in mind – the workload is distributed to the teams, making life easier for administrators.

With Competition Planner you can:

                -view draws, ladders and statistics
                -generate fixtures automatically
                -manage tournaments
                -calculate ladders automatically
