The Springfield Lakes Hot Shots Street Challenge event was held on the weekend with many local children from the community in attendance.

There were some fantastic rallies during the Red Ball Competition as the kids competed in 5 minute matches before rotating to their next opponent.

Pegs were used to keep track of the scoring as the kids battled against each other on the 3 metre Red Hot Shots courts.

The street challenge series is all about getting out and having a go with participation and sportsmanship being the most important aspects of the competition.

For those that had never played before, a ‘Come and Try’ event was also held which saw some local youngsters come and have a go at playing some mini tennis with their siblings or with Mum & Dad.

A perfectly timed presentation was held just before it began to rain. A big thank you to everyone who turned out for the event and we hope all of the competitors enjoyed themselves and come out to Yarrabilba on the 14th of February to compete in the last Street Challenge event.
