The 2014 Hutchinson Builders Toowoomba International is part of the Australian Pro Tour, a series of professional tennis events that bridge junior events and the ATP/WTA Tour, providing an opportunity for players to earn their first world ranking points.

Day five is now complete at the 2014 Hutchinson Builders Toowoomba International. Men’s top seed Luke Saville opened play with a straight sets win over Queenslander Steven de Waard. Saville has been in great form this week and certainly looks the player to beat. Saville will take on dangerous floater Greg Jones (NSW) in quarter final action on Thursday 16th October.

Defending champion Isabella Holland (QLD) caused the upset of the day with a stirring three set victory over Japanese top seed Rika Fujiwara. It is the second time in two weeks that Holland has beaten Fujiwara on the Australian Pro Tour. Holland is undefeated at the Hutchinson Builders Toowoomba International and will look to continue her streak when she takes on the seventh seed Mana Ayukawa (JPN).

Other Australian winners in the round of 16 included Jessica Moore (WA), Chris O’Connell (NSW), Maverick Banes (QLD) and Dane Propoggia (NSW).
