The twilight session for Wednesday the 8/10/14 at the Cairns Pro Tour promised big things with Omar Jasika (US Open Jrs winner, singles and doubles). Taking on last years champion Andrew Whittington.

The Quality of tennis that was on show was like Cairns Rarely sees. Jasika played some quality tennis racing away with the first set 6 2. The crowd grew after people flooded over from the first ever Sudden Death Shoot Out at the Cairns Pro Tour.

With the Stands full the boys battled it out playing some unbelievable points before Jasika ran away at the end to a 6 3 second set.

In an interview with Travis Dragoljo after the match Jasika discussed how well he was striking the ball and how comfortable he feels with the transition from the Juniors to the professional level.

Tomorrow brings more incredible tennis to Cairns with (4) seed Maverick Banes and former Cairns product Ashling Sumner hit the courts early in the morning.

Matches start at 10 am with twilight on not before 5pm.
