On Friday the 5th of September, Gympie and District Tennis Association hosted nearly 150 kids from schools all across Gympie as part of the inaugural Gympie Schools Sports Day.
Tennis Australia coaches Brett Cottrill and Matt Watkins put kids through many relays and skills activities in the morning session and following lunch the kids had the opportunity to compete in match play and other point play activities.
For many, it was the first time trying tennis and ANZ Tennis Hotshots was a great introduction to both players and support staff who joined the kid’s on the day. For pictures from the days activities, please click on the link below.
