An Indigenous Come and Try Day was held at Wynnum Tennis Club today with 20 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in attendance.

National Indigenous Coach Ian Goolagong also attended the day to put the kids through their paces using the ANZ Hot Shots format. For many of these keen Indigenous youngsters, this was their first tennis experience and needless to say, it was one they will remember for a long time.

Following some fun measuring the speed of their serves on the Fastest Serve Machine, the kids enjoyed a BBQ lunch and each participant was presented with an ANZ Hot Shots Tennis Racquet to take home.

Perhaps we will see one of these Indigenous players follow in the footsteps of the Goolagong family and do great things in our sport.
