Entries for the 2013 Great Barrier Reef Masters Games at Cairns (8-11 August) close Friday 12th July 2013.

Events Management Queensland General Manager Cameron Hart today urged intending participants to get in early.

“With 19 sports on offer in our inaugural year, it’s important that people register early so our competition rosters can be finalised,” Mr Hart said.

“We want everyone to enter early enough to properly plan their Tropical North Queensland stays,” he said.

Just last week organisers announced that rock legends Dragon will headline a huge entertainment line up at the Games.

They’ll be playing at the spectacular Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal, which was also announced as the official ‘Games Hub’.

Currently on a 40th anniversary national tour, Dragon are the first big name entertainment ‘reveal’ of the Games, with more to come over the coming weeks.

Organisers expect over 2,000 people will compete in Cairns.
