Biggest movers: Ebden cracks top 40
Matt Ebden rose 11 places in the latest rankings to make his top 40 debut, where he joins three countrymen in a prosperous time for Australia's men on the ATP tour.
Matt Ebden has cracked the top 40 this week, achieving a career-high ranking just a month out from his 31st birthday.
The West Australian rose 11 places after advancing to the quarterfinals of the Shanghai Masters, the second time he has reached the last 18 at the Chinese tournament.
He now sits at world No.40, behind Alex De Minaur (31), John Millman (33) and Nick Kyrgios (37).
The last time Australia has four men inside the top 40 came back in March 2001.
