Australia’s men have been dealt tough assignments at this week’s ATP 500 event in Acapulco, Mexico.

John Millman lines up against top seed David Ferrer in the first round while Bernard Tomic, the fifth seed, opens against Rajeev Ram, the American who beat him in the first round of last week’s Delray Beach Open.

Millman and Tomic have landed in the top half of the draw while Sam Groth appears in the bottom half and will take on Dmitry Tursunov.

The winner faces a likely battle with No.4 seed Dominic Thiem.

In the Middle East, Nick Kyrgios will look to continue his winning ways when he contests the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

Kyrgios, who won his first career title in Marseille at the weekend, will take on No.7 seed Martin Klizan, a recent winner in Rotterdam.

Should Gavrilova progress at the WTA Premier 5 event, her next opponent could be 13th seed Caroline Wozniacki, who opens against qualifier Ana Konjuh.
