Dubai - Dubai - United Arab Emirates, 17 February 2015 | tennis.com.au

Jarmila Gajdosova’s run in Dubai has come to an end in three sets at the hands of Spaniard Garbine Muguruza.

Gajdosova, who won two matches to qualify for the main draw at the $2.5 million WTA Premier 5-level event, won the first set before falling 3-6 6-1 6-2.

Muguruza, who slammed nine aces throughout the match, will next face 12th seed Jelena Jankovic.

It wasn’t all bad news for Australia on Monday in Dubai however, with two all-Aussie teams winning their opening matches in the doubles event.

Sam Stosur and Casey Dellacqua combined to defeat Gajdosova and Sabine Lisicki, while Rodionova sisters Anastasia and Arina were also victorious in straight sets.

Stosur and Dellacqua will take to the courts on Tuesday for their second-round singles matches; Stosur faces No.3 seed Caroline Wozniacki while Dellacqua lines up against 11th seed Lucie Safarova.
