John Millman’s comeback from injury has continued in fine style thanks to his victory at the ATP Yokohama Challenger.

The Queenslander did not drop a set during his week in Japan, beating Britain’s Kyle Edmund 6-4 6-4 to win his fourth title of 2014.

The win follows on from his victory at the recent ATP Challenger event in Traralgon, taking his winning streak to 10 matches.

As a result, he has risen to world No.159 and returned to the top 10 in the Australian rankings.

Incredibly, Millman was ranked outside the world’s top 1000 just three months ago, a few months into his comeback from a shoulder injury which sidelined him for almost a year.

Back-to-back ITF Futures titles in Korea helped kick-start his rankings ascent; including those tournament victories he has won 31 of his past 36 matches.

He will aim to extend his winning streak at this week’s ATP Challenger event in Toyota, Japan.
