Anastasia Rodionova is the last Australian woman remaining in French Open qualifying as she progressed to the final round on Thursday in Paris.

She beat compatriot Olivia Rogowska in their second round match 6-3 6-2, breezing to victory in one hour and 15 minutes.

The win sets up a final round qualifying battle against Julia Glushko of Israel, with the winner taking their place in the French Open main draw, beginning on Sunday.

Casey Dellacqua was the other remaining Australian in action on Thursday, but after winning the first set, fell in an epic three-set battle stretching more than two hours.

The Western Australian went down 2-6 7-5 7-5 to American Irina Falconi, who will next take on Zuzana Kucova of Slovakia.

Friday will see the final round of qualifying matches take place at Roland Garros.

No.20 seed Rodionova will face Glushko in the second match of the day on Court 16, while James Duckworth opens proceedings on Court 11,  aiming to reach his first French Open main draw when he takes on Serbia’s Dusan Lajovic.

Play starts at Friday 10:00am (Paris time).
