Ajla Tomljanovic dismissed Rebecca Peterson in straight sets on Thursday to take her place in the semifinals of the WTA clay-court event in Rabat, Morocco.

There she will face seventh seed Johanna Konta after the former world No.4 got past Hsieh Su-Wei in three sets.

Tomljanovic, the No.4 seed, beat Peterson 6-2 6-4 in just under 90 minutes to reach the last four in Rabat for the second consecutive year.

She has a win-loss record of 7-1 at the International-level tournament.

Tomljanovic and Konta have played three times, all on Australian hard courts. The Brit leads the head-to-head 2-1, winning their most recent encounter in a first-round thriller at Australian Open 2019.
