John Millman has reached the last 16 of the Winston-Salem Open with a come-from-behind win over Albert Ramos-Vinolas.

Millman defeated the No.8 seed from Spain 4-6 7-5 6-3 to set up a third-round showdown with Bjorn Fratangelo.

The unseeded American overcame 11th seed Paolo Lorenzi to advance.

This is the second straight day Millman was forced to battle from a set down to win; on Monday (local time) he overcame Yoshihito Nishioka 4-6 6-3 6-4.

Millman is ranked more than 30 places higher than Fratangelo, although the American is enjoying a career-best season.
