Australia’s Chris O’Mara has won two gold medals at the recent ITF Young Seniors World Individual Championships in Antalya, Turkey.

In a see-sawing Men’s 45 Doubles final where both pairs had match points, O’Mara and Dutch partner Pieter Van Houten defeated the German pair of Jens Christopher Bloemeke and Matthias Mueller-Seele, 3-6 6-2 [16-14].

The win gave O’Mara the distinction of winning two gold medals in his seventh world championships – he also took the Mixed 45 Doubles crown alongsie Estonian partner Piret Ilves.

Previously, he won the 40 Men’s Doubles with Paul Kleverlaan in 2010.
