Nine men and four women are scheduled to launch their Open campaigns on the opening day.

Nick Kyrgios will headline the men’s card when he takes centre stage on Margaret Court Arena in the second match of the night session.

He will clash with Frederico Delbonis from Argentina. It is the first time the pair have met.

Bernard Tomic and Sam Groth will both be in action on Hisense Arena during the afternoon.

Marinko Matosevic, Thanasi Kokkinakis, James Duckworth, John Millman, Jordan Thompson and Luke Saville round out the Australian men scheduled to play today.

Jarmila Gajdosova will look to continue her solid early-season form when she takes on Romanian Alexandra Dulgheru in her opening match of the tournament.  It will be the first meeting between the pair.

Ariana Rodionova, Daria Gavrilova and Storm Sanders also take the court on Day 1, hoping to advance one step closer to the dream of winning their home Grand Slam tournament.
