All Aussie eyes will be on Thanasi Kokkinakis as the 17-year-old looks to continue his march toward the boys’ singles title at the US Open.
Kokkinakis will battle second seed and reigning Wimbledon boys’ champion Gianluigi Quinzi, a powerful left-hander from Italy.
The pair, incidentally, teamed in the boys’ doubles event at Flushing Meadows, but went down in their quarterfinal match on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Ash Barty and Casey Dellacqua will await confirmation of their opponent in the women’s doubles final after romping to victory in the semifinals on Thursday.
