2 April 2026 | Tennis West

The Easter holidays are set for a big week of tennis with record numbers expected in various metro areas, regional towns and tennis clubs around the state.

Bridgetown Tennis Club is set to see the most participants, with 296 players set to compete in the 2026 OC Bridgetown Easter Tournament. This is up from 2025 which saw 283 players compete in the tournament.

It is also the 94th occasion that the tournament has run, showing the incredible work the Bridgetown Lawn Tennis Club has done to make the tournament so successful.

Beverley Lawn Tennis Club has also been busy in preparation for the upcoming 2026 OC 92nd Annual Beverley Easter Tournament with the club hosting a busy bee last weekend and preparing the busy schedule for the draw.

The tournament has seen a big rise in player entries this year. 294 players have entered the Beverley Easter Tournament, up from 219 last year. The tournament is also at capacity, with the tennis club having to close entries before the deadline and set up a waiting list.

The major metro easter tournament for this year will once again be at Royal Kings Park Tennis Club hosting the 2026 OC RKPTC Easter Tournament. Over 200 player entries have been received once again across 27 events.

Overall, the easter participation average per tournament has increased from 237 players in 2025 to 264 players this year.

The easter tournaments are not the only events on the calendar in April. Term One School Holidays means regular April tournaments in the J125 CBC Green Pierre Yang North Beach Junior Event and the J125 CBC Green Preston Street IGA Hensman Junior Event are scheduled for the week after easter.

186 players have registered for the North Beach tournament while currently 103 players have registered for the Hensman Park tournament with registrations still open until Sunday.

Added to the school holiday schedule for this year due to the timing of the easter period is the J250 J125 Perth Hardcourt Championships set for next weekend at the State Tennis Centre which will attract 153 new players and the Seniors State Championships held at Nedlands Tennis Club which will see 106 players.

The weather is looking sunny and settled for the easter weekend across all parts of the state. Good luck and safe travels to all competing players!
