How Red Ball Team Tennis Works & What Itβs Designed to Do
Red Ball Team Tennis brings kids together in a play-based focused environment. Sessions use simple match play formats, modified courts and red balls to ensure age-appropriate play, with mixed teams that promote inclusivity across all ability levels and genders. The emphasis is on participation, enjoyment and shared experiences, rather than scores or results.
By delivering tennis in this way, Red Ball Team Tennis aims to change the perception of tennis as an individual sport, bridge the gap between coaching and competition, and help young players build confidence, friendships and a genuine love for the game. The program supports junior development pathways and encourages long-term participation by making tennis fun, social and accessible from the very beginning.
Whether your child is new to tennis or already loving their lessons, Red Ball Team Tennis is a great way to play more, belong more, and enjoy the game.
