All divisions of the 2025/26 Summer League concluded last week with the final division finishing on Thursday.
It was another season of continued growth within the Summer Tennis Leagues which saw for the first time, over 8,000 participants compete in various divisions. There was a total of 8,181 participants, an increase of 600 from the 2024/25 summer season.
It has now been two consecutive summer league seasons where Tennis West have seen continued growth in summer league participation.
In total, there were 150 divisions across the Summer (up from 148 in 2024/25) with 1,005 teams entered into a division up from six from last season.
After the success of winning their first Women’s State League title since 2016/17, Cottesloe was the most successful club, winning a total of 13 titles including the junior girl’s State League and women’s Division One titles.
Next best was Mt Lawley with seven titles, highlighted by the men’s Division One title. Right behind Mt Lawley was Applecross, Blue Gum Park, Scarborough, Sorrento and Wanneroo all with six titles.
Other clubs who achieved success throughout the summer leagues season were Bayswater, City Beach, Peppermint Grove and Wembley Downs with five titles.
Along with Blue Gum Park’s six division titles, the club had a total of 10 most valuable players (MVP’s), the most out of any club. Sorrento and Higgins Park had a total of seven MVP’s and not far behind them were Bayswater, North Beach, Royal Kings Park and Wanneroo with six MVP awards.
